|Paradee 4****+ |

|
Paradee means ‘Sixth Heaven’ and that’s where you will think you’ve landed at this lovely resort! The Paradee is the newest and by far the most luxurious option on this island not far from Bangkok. The resort is a charming blend of white-walled villas, thatched roofs, Mediterranean design and traditional Thai hospitality.
The resort has 40 villas in total; each one covers an area of 100 square meters. There are 13 Beachside Villas whose infinity private pools directly overlook the beach itself, and 16 Garden Villas which also have private infinity pools, but are set further back amongst the resort's tropical garden. There are also a few villas with no pools or a shared pool. The most exclusive room type is the Paradee Suite Villa featuring butler service as well as an elevated infinity pool with stunning views.
Each villa is stylishly furnished in tasteful Mediterranean-style, with natural materials including teak wood, rattan and Thai silk. The dressing area is separate from the high ceiling bedroom and beneath the thick thatched roof the shower is open to the sky. In-room facilities include: Air-conditioning, DVD/CD player, 21” TV with LCD screen, IDD telephone, free internet access, personal safe, mini-bar with tea and coffee making facilities.
The resorts facilities include an open air restaurant with Thai and International cuisine, a pool bar and the sunset bar with a romantic setting. The resort’s Infinity pool is an alternative to your own pool and the in-house spa invites for beauty treatments and massages. Water sports, including scuba diving, windsurfing, canoeing and sailing are available at, or can be arranged through the resort.
Wonderfully secluded, the Paradee is a place designed as a "couple- resort", treasured for its tranquility and its "away-from-it-all" ambiance. Here you are sure to slow down and enjoy the privacy of an idyllic location, complimented by five star facilities. |
Koh Chang
Koh Chang, Thailand’s second largest island, has so far escaped the large-scale development that has overtaken Phuket or Pattaya, probably due to its relatively remote location to the east of the country. Since the opening of Trat Airport in 2003, Koh Chang has developed and “moved up market”, particularly with fancier hotels and resorts being part of the development taking place on the island. With its white sandy beaches, idyllic bays and tropical forests, Koh Chang offers an ideal getaway for a relaxed holiday. If you are in need of action and activities, the hotel and local tour agencies can arrange day trips to waterfalls, elephant rides, canoe or island tours and dive outings.

|The Library ****+ |

|
With its unique concept and cutting edge design, the Library is surely one of Thailand’s most stylish and most interesting resorts.
Taking its inspiration from holiday reading, the main concept behind the resort is that of a book. Thus the lobby has been renamed Contents and each of the 26 rooms is referred to as a Page. Rooms are divided into 13 white cubist duplex buildings. Suites are on the ground floor and feature floor to ceiling wooden shutters which rotate to let in the ocean breezes or close for privacy. In front of each suite, there is an outdoor area for sunbathing and reading. Upstairs rooms are light, bright Studios and come complete with a balcony.
Both room categories feature a master bedroom area on a raised platform and include large plasma screen TVs. There is a separate living area which includes a white iMac computer complete with unlimited broadband connection for guest use. The bathrooms feature rain showers and dramatic white bathtubs. The Suite rooms include Jacuzzi bathtubs. Rooms at The Library are characterized by a futuristic and minimalist Thai design. Plinth beds, bold edges and the odd splash of color set off dramatic black fittings and bright white floors.
A design highlight is the resort’s breathtaking bright red swimming pool and the adjacent pure white Library itself where guests can read and enjoy a wealth of media. Set along the beachfront, the chic grey-tone restaurant dubbed “The Page” and a bar complete the color panel. |

| Baan Sabai Sunset Beach Villas **** |

|
Ban Sabai, meaning relaxing home, is aptly named. It is a cozy beachfront boutique hotel in a peaceful location on Koh Samui’s largely undeveloped west coast. Staying here is a totally different experience from a holiday in busier Chaweng Beach on the opposite side of the island. Chaweng is about 30 minutes away, making Ban Sabai unsuitable for those looking for nightlife and access to entertainment.
There are only 22 rooms and villas at Ban Sabai, making this a very intimate and peaceful resort. The 12 Sunset Jacuzzi Rooms (35 sq. m.) are located in a two-storey building, overlooking the pool and garden. The 6 Garden Jacuzzi Villas (135 sq. m.) are positioned around the swimming pool and feature a private plunge pool, Jacuzzi and a sala. The 4 Beach Front Pool Villas (250 sq. m.) are located right on the beach. The villas can be set up as 2 bedrooms, or as 1 bedroom and 1 living room. Each Villa offers a private pool and sala overlooking the beach.
The added benefit of Baan Sabai is its Spa infrastructure that includes outdoor massage salas, sauna and steam room, a salt chlorinated swimming pool, a Salt Flotation pool and a gym.
Baan Sabai has its own restaurant, but there are not really any other dining options nearby.
