In 2007 Arosa Travel Service will be celebrating its 35 th Anniversary and our greetings in “Thai” and “Swiss German” signify the Swiss & Thai ownership of our company. Arosa Travel Service has been founded in 1972 by its previous owners as one of the first local and foreign owned travel companies in Thailand . Although not being native to the Swiss resort town of Arosa , the name “Arosa” has been chosen to signify the Swiss “roots” of the company's founders, Fritz & Prapassorn Baumann, and to ensure a top spot in any alphabetic listings of local travel companies.

Back in 1972 Thailand was at the doorstep of developing into a well-known tourist destination, albeit its successful rise to worldwide recognition took many more years and only fully developed in the 1990ies. During 35 years Arosa Travel has been very much part of the tourism development of Thailand and we have organised personalised and tailor-made tours for travel agents and customers from all over the world. Many of them have become regular visitors and friends of Thailand .

In 2001, I have taken over ownership and management from the company's founders. Still a family-owned and medium sized company, we continue to provide reliable and personalized travel service, combined with Thai hospitality and Swiss quality. Our staff will share with you their recommendations and expertise, as well as focus on transparent and clear communication while preparing your trip. Once you arrive ”at our door steps”, our guides will greet you with the traditional “wai” and will go out of their way to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one.
